This training course will teach you the signs and symptoms of both a severe allergic reaction, as well as an asthma attack. Students will learn the signs of anaphylaxis and how to care for a person having a severe allergic reaction, including how to administer epinephrine using an auto-injector device such as an EpiPen. They will also learn to recognize the signs of a severe asthma attack, and how to assist with the administration of a metered dose asthma inhaler. This hands-on course includes activities as well as skills practice that reinforce key information.
