First Aid Merit Badge

First Aid Merit Badge (Scouts BSA)

We are excited to be offering the First Aid merit badge, an Eagle-required merit badge! Throughout the year, we anticipate offering several of these courses in the Northern Virginia area; all, being taught by Eagle Scouts who are registered merit badge counselors with the National Capital Area Council, BSA.

This class will be taught by some of our local Council’s most experienced medical professionals. It is limited to the first 30 participants to sign up. Scouts MUST have all first aid requirements already completed for Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks in order to participate. Scouts should also come prepared with a first aid kit for your home (display and discuss its contents with your counselor.

This course is typically scheduled on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) from 8am–4pm with a one hour break for lunch from 12pm–1pm. Lunch is NOT provided.

Parents are encouraged to stay for class and learn along with the Scouts; HOWEVER,
the course is not open to any non-Scouting adults or youth (Sorry, BSA rules & regs).
